SUMMARY


Under the general direction of Ticketing Services Management, programs events, responsible for map and seating chart creation and ongoing event programming updates to all ticketed events for San Diego Theatres, clients and venues using Ticketmaster Archtics, TM1, Host and EMT programming tools.

Assists in creation and programming of ticket offers, processes client ticket requests and programs all pre-sales, VIP and Platinum sales, as per event/show specs.

Assists in patron database maintenance, structure, list generation and providing associated reports to management and marketing staff as needed.

Prepares and updates Training and Event Information documents for distribution to Ticketing Staff and other SD Theatres Departments and may assist in training ticketing staff on ticketing software as requested.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists Ticketing Services Management with all map creation, event programming, pricing updates and all related event programming tasks.
  • Utilizes Ticketmaster Archtics, TM1, EMT, Host and all other Ticketmaster software to create, build and update individual ticketed events.
  • Ability to work within multiple databases on Archtics, to accommodate multiple client event needs and events.
  • Ability to manage multiple timelines and requests.
  • Assist in Archtics patron database management, targeted/segmented list creation and associated reports as directed.
  • Create Event Information, Training and How-To documents, with Management approval, for Ticketing Staff and all other San Diego Theatres Departments, as needed.
  • Support and facilitate training for new hires and current Ticketing staff on any updated system processes and procedures, as directed.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisory and Management Staff.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:


  • Familiarity and active use of Ticketmaster ticketing system software including TM Host, Archtics, TM1 & EMT.
  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Extensive computer experience in the use of Microsoft Office programs including, but not limited to, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:


  • Clear, polite & effective written and verbal communication with clients, coworkers, vendors and SDT staff.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret documents such as event information, programming instructions, processes, and procedures.
  • Ability to verbally communicate in Spanish a plus.

AVAILABILITY:


  • Applicants must be available during weekday business hours, on a consistent basis. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be needed based on event programming schedule.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:


  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only guidelines may apply.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Familiarity with ticket office and ticketing procedures, ticket system reports and interpretations.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a variety of pressure situations and changing work environment, while maintaining a professional attitude and demeanor to ensure the highest degree of courtesy and efficiency.
  • Ability to shift quickly between work assignments, as determined by supervisors and management.
  • Effectively interact with Ticketing Services and San Diego Theatres personnel in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Ability to work autonomously and with mínimal oversight while accomplishing assignments and meeting deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, thorough selfcheck of work and regular review of event sales activity and promotion codes for quality control purposes.
