YOUR DAY TO DAY AS AN ACCOUNTANT


As a new Accountant at Oakbrook Corporation, you can expect to dive into financial data analysis, reconcile accounts, and assist in budget preparation.

You will work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

Your day-to-day tasks may include bank reconciliation, general ledger analysis, asset management, monitoring cash balances, monthly adjusting and accrual entries, preparing financial statements and communicating with property owners and managers.

You will receive thoughtful guidance and training to familiarize yourself with our systems and processes.

In addition, you will work with a team of leaders who prioritize your success and developing your accounting career with Oakbrook Corporation.

Your schedule will be full-time, Monday through Friday, providing you with a structured workweek to excel in your role.

To thrive as an Accountant at Oakbrook Corporation, you should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is crucial for data analysis and reporting. Experience with the accounting software MRI is beneficial. Excellent communication skills are essential for collaborating with team members and presenting financial information accurately. The ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines is key in this fast-paced environment.

Adaptability and a willingness to learn new tools and systems will help you excel in this role. An accounting degree or relevant work experience is preferred.
