  • Salary range: $59, $91, The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) is the nation's largest public housing authority, with an operating budget of $3.3 billion and over 11,000 employees who manage and maintain 290 developments that house over 400,000 residents. NYCHA also operates the country's largest Section 8 program, which provides rental assistance to over 200,000 additional families.
  • Reporting to the Compliance Integration Reporting and Evaluation (CIRE) Deputy Director, the Compliance Data Analyst, under general direction with wide latitude for independent initiative and judgement, performs very responsible work in the supervision, planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring and/or evaluation of business units and programs which impact NYCHA communities.
  • The Compliance Data Analyst should have or develop knowledge in both compliance and business unit operations. In addition, the Compliance Data Analyst may be assigned to specialized compliancerelated projects stemming from new regulations or identified compliance gaps which impact NYCHA communities.
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Drive analytical problem-solving for complex strategic or operational issues, including data analysis and visualization.
  • Prepare reports for executives, and internal and external stakeholders on analytical findings and recommendations.
  • Plan, implement, coordinate, monitor and/or evaluate operational programs providing important services for NYCHA communities.
  • Perform difficult work in the preparation of adhoc analyses and planning documents, and of relevant presentations and reports as assigned.
  • Prepare evaluation reports, perform analyses, and review operational programs, funding, and performance.
  • Provide authoritative interpretation of complex problems using data and data analytics.
  • Make recommendations on policies and procedures based on the review of NYCHA's key performance indicators and other performance metrics.
  • Perform other related assignments and duties as assigned.
Additional Information- 2. NYCHA residents are encouraged to apply.-Minimum Qualifications1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or

  • High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
Preferred Skills1.

Use performance data and quality assurance processes to ensure that the business unit work is conducted effectively, efficiently and in compliance with all rules and regulations specifically related to environmental health and safety.

2. Experience analyzing, blending managing, and reporting on quantitative data from multiple sources. 3. Strong analytical skills - including knowledge of pivot tables/charts, and business intelligent data visualization tools (OBIEE, Tableau, Power BI). 4.

Fluid understanding and working with data management software, geographic information systems (GIS), statistical programs (R) (SAS) (STATA) (SPSS), and relational database systems (SQL, Oracle Business Intelligence).

5. Project management skills with experience in managing and supervising administrative projects. Familiarity with Basecamp, Lucidchart, Projects, Smartsheet, and Visio. 6. Experience managing high-priority projects and tracking project lifecycles. 7. Experience working collaboratively to develop and execute project plans. 8. Ability to make timely and effective decisions and produce results through strategic planning. 9. Extensive research and writing skills related to environment and health conditions with the ability to communicate in different styles and to different audiences (i.e. abstracts, grants, manuscripts, memoranda, outreach materials, policies, presentations, proposals, protocols). 10. Excellent communication skills with ability to engage and facilitate cooperation among multiple stakeholders. 11.
