Description

Skyline Prep South Phoenix is a PK-12 campus in Phoenix, AZ located near the base of South Mountain.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and certified 6-12 ELL Interventionist to join our team in the South Phoenix area.

This position will be responsible for providing targeted EL instruction in reading, writing, speaking, and listening to students in a small group setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement engaging and ageappropriate language acquisition lessons for smallgroups of English language learners using Arizona ELPS (English Language Proficiency Standards)
Create a safe and inclusive small group setting that encourages active participation in language learning
Implement various teaching strategies and resources styles, ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed
Administer AZELLA tests as required by AZ law
Regularly assess students' progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with teachers, parents/guardians about student performance
Work closely within gradelevel PLTs, colleagues, administrators, and support staff to create a collaborative and supportive educational community
Stay current with educational trends and best practices, actively participating in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills

Qualifications:

Teaching Certificate w/SEI endorsement
Experience teaching in a 612 classroom
Ability to use data to drive instruction
Technological proficiency and ability to learn programs as needed
Strong passion for teaching and a genuine desire to inspire and educate young learners from diverse backgrounds
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
