    Description

    Role Overview

    The Finance Manager will act as a strategic business partner, offering finance support to facility and commercial managers. This role encompasses leading finance activities such as planning, forecasting, and analysis for one or more facilities, in collaboration with the Shared Service Center (Centralized Accounting). This position will ensure adherence to US generally accepted accounting principles and company policies.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with facility management to support business objectives.
    • Track operational statistics and metrics; evaluate financial performance by comparing actual results with plans and make strategic recommendations to support organizational goals.
    • Oversee the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial forecasts, long-term plans, and annual budgets, ensuring alignment with operational and business leadership objectives.
    • Foster financial understanding among key operational and commercial leaders within the facility.
    • Conduct routine data mining to analyze revenues, expenses, profits, production statistics, and capital expenditures, and communicate findings effectively.
    • Maintain and update long-term financial models and conduct comparative analyses.
    • Identify and spearhead continuous improvement efforts.
    • Manage financial information compilation and analysis for month-end close processes, including journal entry validation in coordination with the Shared Service Center.
    • Provide detailed variance explanations both quantitatively and qualitatively, including assessments of risks and accounting treatments.
    • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
    • Liaise with auditors, facilitating the preparation and documentation needed for internal and external audits.
    • Handle special projects and ad-hoc requests as needed.
    Key Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
    • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
    • Strategic thinking ability with a knack for synthesizing complex issues into actionable solutions.
    • Strong analytical and decision-making skills; able to manage unexpected requests flexibly.
    • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented and client-sensitive environment.
    • Competent in managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines with high accuracy.
    • Skilled in identifying and resolving intricate finance and accounting issues, with a strong focus on financial analysis and preparation.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and networking abilities.
    • Proficient understanding of contractual terms and conditions.
    • Keen attention to detail, eagerness to learn and adapt, and a process-oriented mindset.
    • Preferred experience with Oracle and PeopleSoft, or similar financial software.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP.
