    Your day as a Pre-K Counts Teacher Aide

    Get ready to dive into an exhilarating role as a Teacher's Aide at YMCA of Reading & Berks County As a vital member of the team, you will work alongside the Lead Teacher to ensure a smooth operation of the classroom. From planning and implementing engaging activities to following daily schedules, your creativity and passion for education will shine through.

    You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with classroom aides and volunteers, coordinating activities that promote a fun and enriching environment. Your dedication to program quality, in alignment with ECERS/ITERS, Early Learning Resource Centers/ Pennsylvania Key guidelines, and YMCA program policies, will contribute to the safety, well-being, and age-appropriate instruction of all the children entrusted in your care.     To thrive as a Teacher's Aide at YMCA of Reading & Berks County, you'll need a set of essential skills and qualifications. These include a minimum of 2 years of full-time postsecondary study, an associate's degree or higher, or a Child Development Associate's certificate. We are committed to ongoing professional development, so you'll have access to training opportunities based on Keystone Stars or ELRC designation. Additionally, possessing a CPR and First Aid certificate is essential to ensure the safety and well-being of the children in your care.

    Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

    • Completion of at least 2 years of full-time postsecondary study
    • Possession of an associate's degree or higher

    • Aquire and maintain a CPR and First Aid certificate
