Role and Responsibilities

  • Oversee and facilitate the ordering, procurement, and installation of furniture, fixture, and equipment as well as all components for a project to ensure contractors are fulfilling all obligations and that work is carried out according to approved contracts, specifications, and blueprints.
  • Financial aptitude for tracking project budgets, costs, and margins.
  • Research and compare contractors, suppliers, goods, and services.
  • Understand and assist in the negotiation of contracts for all parties to the project.
  • Perform endofproject reports analyzing project budgets vs actual.
  • Select the most suitable vendors in terms of reliability, product quality, and costefficiency.
  • Manage list of active trade partners, vendor agreements, and contact information.
  • Maintain construction costs through effective bidding and negotiating cost with trade partners. Possess knowledge of unit costs, takeoffs, and estimating.
  • Work with highaccuracy purchase orders based on the approved scope of work and bid/estimate received.
  • Assist in the interpretation of contract plans, specifications, and construction plans.
  • Support the Vice President of Development to monitor overall construction/renovation project plans including critical path and associated timelines.
  • Knowledge of Commercial Real Estate and Construction terminology.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize with strong time management skills in a fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to accurately track, troubleshoot and problemsolve.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Prepare a costbenefit analysis of potential contractors, vendors, and suppliers for review by the manager.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with trade partners, suppliers, & vendors.
  • Help the manager order materials for projects.
  • Work with hotel leadership to ensure projects are scheduled at the right time for the hotel so it does not interfere with the Overall Guest Experience.
  • Preferably familiar with hotel and restaurant fixturing, planning, and operations.
  • Work collaboratively with the Vice President of Development and design team, hotel General Managers, office staff, contractors, vendors, and trade partners.
  • Flexible and adaptable to rapidly changing priorities.
  • Serves as the company's inspector for project management and subcontracting progress, and delays. (Some travel may be required)
  • Understanding of construction procedures and project management principles.
  • Have a good working knowledge of all project documents, including specifications, plans, submittals, subcontracts, shop drawings, and any other projectspecific documents.
  • Assist the Vice President of Development in the inspection of construction work.
  • Assist with punch list and project closeout activities.

Work Environment:
Maya Support Center and job sites. Will be required to travel in state and out of state.
