Health East ASC is currently seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to join our team.

As a Receptionist you will be the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals. Your role will be crucial in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.

Your exceptional communication and organizational skills will ensure a smooth flow of administrative processes, allowing our surgical center to provide efficient and effective care.


Responsibilities:


  • Greet patients and visitors in a warm and friendly manner, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Provide accurate and uptodate information regarding the surgical center's services, procedures, and policies.
  • Manage incoming phone calls, transferring them to the appropriate department or taking messages when necessary.
  • Collect and update patient demographic and insurance information accurately.
  • Coordinate patient paperwork, including consent forms, medical history, and insurance verification.
  • Assist patients with completing necessary forms and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Coordinate with healthcare professionals and other staff members to ensure smooth patient flow.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area, waiting room, and front desk.
  • Assist with various administrative tasks, such as filing, faxing, and data entry.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve common goals and provide exceptional patient care.

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Proficient in using computer systems, including electronic medical records and scheduling software.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Positive attitude, teamoriented mindset, and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.
