Health East ASC is currently seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to join our team.As a Receptionist you will be the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals. Your role will be crucial in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
Your exceptional communication and organizational skills will ensure a smooth flow of administrative processes, allowing our surgical center to provide efficient and effective care.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a warm and friendly manner, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Provide accurate and uptodate information regarding the surgical center's services, procedures, and policies.
- Manage incoming phone calls, transferring them to the appropriate department or taking messages when necessary.
- Collect and update patient demographic and insurance information accurately.
- Coordinate patient paperwork, including consent forms, medical history, and insurance verification.
- Assist patients with completing necessary forms and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals and other staff members to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area, waiting room, and front desk.
- Assist with various administrative tasks, such as filing, faxing, and data entry.
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve common goals and provide exceptional patient care.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with a diverse range of individuals.
- Proficient in using computer systems, including electronic medical records and scheduling software.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Positive attitude, teamoriented mindset, and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.
