Summary:
Greets, assists and directs patients and hospital visitors. Determines visitor eligibility and issues visitor passes. Monitors emergency alarms and responds by making emergency announcements using an overhead paging system and two-way radio. Notifies appropriate personnel/outside agencies (EMS, etc.) of codes and emergencies so immediate action can be taken.

Performs routine clerical duties such as checking census in computer, completing standard forms, answering phones, accepting deliveries of supplies and flowers, etc.

When serving as a courier, picks up and delivers hospital mail, specimens, supplies, equipment, other items and personnel among corporate entities, and Regency Center for Women & Infants.

Modifies routine schedule to meet emergency requests as necessary. Transports patients between Winter Haven Hospital and Regency Center for Women & Infants via hospital vehicle. Relieves staff member serving as receptionist for meal break and as requested.
