Job ResponsibilitiesThe Building Services Associate performs various duties related to custodial, housekeeping or groundskeeping to keep the building or grounds in a clean and orderly condition.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Cleaning galleries, classrooms, offices, hallways, lobbies, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, lounges, and other work areas, as assigned. Sweeping, scrubbing, moping and polishing floors. Vacuuming and cleaning rugs and carpets.
Dusting furniture and equipment.
Polishing metalwork.
Washing windows, door panels, and sills.
Emptying wastebaskets. Transporting trash and waste to disposal area. Cleaning bathrooms and replenishing supplies. Assisting with museum special events, as needed.

This may include setting up and taking down tables and chairs; emptying trash containers; and cleaning areas before and after events take place.

Assists with the cleaning and managing of school lunch programs.
Performs general guest services.
Performs other related duties, as necessary.

Minimum and Additional Requirements High school diploma1-2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be able to operate cleaning equipment, such as scrubbers and carpet cleaners. Must be able to access storage areas and lift up to 25 lbs. Weekdays, nights, and weekends required. Preferred Qualifications Customer service experience.
Knowledge of how to properly carry out custodial, housekeeping or grounds keeping tasks.
Knowledge of cleaning and disinfection practices, including MSDS and OSHA regulations. Prior knowledge of cleaning products and disinfection materials helpful. Ability to follow instructions. Ability to keep accurate written records.
