We're looking for an Investment Associate to assist in the sourcing and evaluation of new investment and commercial opportunities for the Virgin Group.

In addition, they will also support active portfolio management across our existing portfolio of companies to maximize and deliver long-term value to the Branson family.

This person will provide financial and analytical support to inform strategy, monitor portfolio company and brand performance, communicating updates back to the Virgin Group, and work closely with portfolio companies to aid in value creation across a range of projects and initiatives.

• Support initiatives to source investment, coinvestment, and licensing opportunities.
• Drive diligence efforts to assess attractiveness of potential investments via thorough quantitative and qualitative analyses.
• Design and develop robust financial models to inform valuation and provide recommendations on the overall investment opportunity.
• With financial and commercial consideration, support the evaluation of new brand licensing opportunities the key revenue generating business, and most valuable asset, of the Virgin Group.
• Assist commercial negotiations on brand licenses with new/potential licensees and amendments/renegotiations with existing licensees.
• Support the management and oversight of the branded businesses, including working closely with the Finance Team on planning, forecasting and reporting.
• Lead strategic analyses and serve as a liaison between portfolio companies and Virgin, monitoring performance, anticipating challenges, and sharing learnings.
• Help analyze and manage intrinsic company risks and exogenous risks.

What you'll need

• Experience at a global investment bank, investment firm or consulting firm.
• Strong functional, technical, financial, accounting and modelling skills.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to work successfully independently and as a part of a complex team.
• Ability to view decisions objectively and accurately to weigh conflicting data points and perspectives to achieve an optimal investment outcome.
• Ability to identify and resolve information gaps, and conduct analytical work to support decision making.
• Strong communication, influencing and interpersonal skills.
• The selfassurance to think "outside the box" and generate creative approaches to develop attractive financial/ human/ brand returns.

New York hub (minimum 1-day per week) & your home space


Salary:
The salary range for this position is $110,000-$120,000 (New York City only). Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Total compensation may vary based on role, location, and individual performance.
