Responsibilities:


Patient Interaction:


  • Greet and assist patients with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
  • Manage patient checkins and checkouts, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and respond to inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.

Appointment Management:


  • Coordinate and schedule patient appointments using the office's scheduling system.
  • Confirm upcoming appointments and provide necessary previsit instructions.
  • Maintain an organized and uptodate appointment calendar.

Administrative Support:


  • Assist with patient registration and ensure accurate completion of necessary paperwork.
  • Verify and update patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Handle insurance verification and assist with billing inquiries.

Office Coordination:


  • Collaborate with medical and administrative staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Manage and maintain the reception area, keeping it clean, organized, and inviting.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, as well as other general administrative tasks.

Patient Comfort:


  • Provide information and directions to patients, creating a comfortable and stressfree environment.
  • Address patient concerns and escalate issues to the appropriate staff when necessary.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and uphold privacy standards.

Education:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:


  • Previous experience in a medical office or dermatology setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus.

Skills:


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and basic office software.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fastpaced environment.
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred, but not required.

Physical Requirements:


Must be able to spend a great deal of the day walking, standing, moving and manipulating equipment, as well as lifting and moving objects, equipment and supplies.

It is reasonable to anticipate lifting 20-25 pounds in any given day.
