Partnership Manager for Southern CaliforniaStudy Smart Tutors is a college and career access organization operating from its home office
in the state of California serving schools and educational organizations across the US. Our
mission is to collaborate with institutions that promote educational equity, access and success
by providing a diverse range of tools for students, families and educators.
Job Description:
Partnership Manager supports Study Smart Tutors' efforts in growing its
services to school districts, educational institutes, state departments, and universities. The
position will be responsible for direct outreach to new and returning clients, and attending
virtual and in-person events and conferences.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Business Development (90%)
- Develop lists of schools and districts in the following target markets:
- Los Angeles County
- Orange County
- San Diego County
- Imperial County
- Mono County
- Inyo County
- Riverside County
- San Bernardino County
- Ventura County
- Santa Barbara County
- San Luis Obispo County
- Outreach to district directors, school administrators or similar decision makers to
- Develop strategic partnerships with district leaders
- Create a professional and engaging first impression with our prospects and customers
- Accurately enter, update, and maintain prospect information in Salesforce
- Generate new business through outbound prospecting
- Provide client support before/during/after implementation
- Conduct discovery calls to identify customer requirements and expectations in order to
- Proactively seek new business opportunities with leads and outbound sales
- Attend local, virtual, and national conferences and events
- When feasible, travel approximately 1xmonth to facilitate planning meetings,
Day to day tasks Include:
- Precall research and planning
- Cold and warm calling
- Followup with previous contacts
- Maintaining and renew previous customers
- Utilizing Salesforce
- Work closely with sales and marketing team to develop strategies, and messaging to
Other Duties (10%)
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
- The Partnership Manager is a fully remote position and will report directly to the
Expectations
- 2 Years in similar sales or development role in education field
- Contacts or experience working in Southern CA
- Bachelor's Degree
- Ability to quickly develop relationships and establish credibility through consultative
- Ability to think on your feet to creatively solve our customer business needs
- Exceptional and persuasive communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and Salesforce software
- Ability to visit clients in region on asneeded basis
- Willingness to take direction and execute tasks independently
- Fulltime salary and benefits commensurate with experience. Salary will include both
- Base salary of $75,000$80,000 DOE + benefits
- Commissions of $75,000$250,000+ based on meeting performance metrics
