Plant Manager


Report to:

Senior Vice President of Operations


Primary function:

Responsible for achieving the organization?s over arching goals of excellence in:

• Employee Safety
• Food Safety
• Quality
• Productivity

The Plant Manager will be responsible for driving these goals to the manufacturing facility floor. The Plant Manager will be functionally responsible for production, quality assurance, maintenance, warehouse, and management/support staff.

They will create a collaborative environment for staff and plant employees and ensure food safety requirements are maintained and work environments are safe.

Primary function:

• Develop initiatives to achieve performance, quality and safety standards and ensure achievement

of manufacturing goals.

• Provides guidance to the manufacturing process plan; including personnel requirements, material

needs and facility needs.

• Coordinates manufacturing activities with all other functions of organization and suppliers to obtain

optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines and equipment.

• Capital project planning and execution.
• Utilization of the ERP system to analyze variance data and drive process change to affect them in a positive way.
• Set clear priorities and align resources to deliver against business and regulatory requirements in

the areas of cost, financial controls, quality, safety and business initiatives.

• Ensure compliance of all OSHA, FDA, HACCP programs, state and federal laws and regulations.
• Commitment to superior quality and safety.
• Drive lean manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement processes.
• Ensure leadership team maintains a positive, productive working relationship with employees.
• Work with all members of leadership team to ensure costsavings initiatives are developed and

measures are in place to track results.

• Manage capital projects to continuously improve plant?s productivity and profitability

Education:

Bachelor Degree Preferred


Experience:

5+ years progressive manufacturing experience. 3+ years of production management experience.

• Strong computer skills (ERP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Working environment:

Indoor manufacturing facility with temperatures at 38 to 45 degrees
