- Desktop Support Technician, maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals. Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for performing hardware repairs on equipment such as desktops, notebooks, tablets, and printers. Will also perform preventative maintenance on hardware
- Accountable for maintaining an accurate inventory of equipment deployed in assigned areas
- Will regularly perform hardware /software upgrades / configuration enhancements as per Workplace Computing standard operation procedures
- Will ensure that all requests from user are logged and proper procedures are followed
- Responsible for maintaining ticket status and resolution information in ticketing / storage database
- Accountable for meeting established performance metrics which will be used in performance evaluations
- Will use knowledge of testing and distributing security patches to clients on a regular basis
- May be required to build and maintain standard HHC computing images, as well as pushing software
- Participation in rollouts of new software and hardware to ensure consistency in HHC technical standards
- Regularly tasked with installing, repairing and troubleshooting computer hardware, software and peripherals on both the Windows and Apple platforms
- Will regularly manage multiple troubleshooting tasks simultaneously while maintaining the quality of results
- Position may require the creating, maintenance and management of PC images
- Performs other duties as assigned/required
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Baccalaureate Degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems, Industrial Management,Business Administration or related fields; or,
- A satisfactory combination of the above.

Certification(S)/NYS Licenses/Education:
- Microsoft (preferred)

- Desktop support / hardware repair services (desktops, notebooks, tablets, scanners, web cams and printers)
- Customer service
