- Operates a screed to level freshly placed concrete according to grade and depth specification .
- Smooth concrete surface using either a hand trowel, long handled "bull float" or powered float.
- C ut joints/grooves in concrete with edging tools to help control cracking.
- Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces.
- Monitor the wind, heat and cold as it aff ects the curing of the concrete.
- Must have good vision, stamina, good hand eye coordination and an ability t o estimate size and dimensions.
- Skill in smoothing, finishing freshly placed concrete, applying surface treatments an d restoring concrete surfaces.
- Required to perform task that include heavy lifting, climbing, balancing, stooping kneeling, crouching, crawling and reaching.
- Must be able to work outdoors in areas that are dusty or dirty.
- Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies.
- Must possess the ability to adapt to different personalities and management styles.
- Team Play and with good interpersonal kills.
- Reliance on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
