This job is with Amazon Lab126 a research and development company that designs and engineers high-profile consumer electronics.We are looking for an ECAD Application Development Engineer to play a key role in customizing and extending the ECAD applications used at Amazon Our team is uniquely positioned at the intersection of hardware design and artificial intelligence pioneering AI-based design review and design generation capabilities that will transform how engineers create next-generation products.
Key responsibilities include maintenance support of Cadence suite of applications OrCAD Allegro System Capture Pulse Design develop implement support Cadence extensions features customizations Explore implement AI/ML-powered features intelligent design review automated design generation optimization Support enhance develop integrations PDM PLM toolsets workflows Develop automations Tcl SKILL scripting Collaborate AI ML teams integrate LLMs machine learning capabilities into ECAD workflows Provide subject matter expertise on Cadence toolset data management Diagnose solve issues software deployment platform interoperability EDA systems installation licensing Interact business customers understand document their business processes requirements Create business documents system configuration functional test user training implementation documents Basic Qualifications Software development experience Java Perl Python Unix shell scripts VBA MS Excel work Electronic Design Automation tools EDA OrCAD/System Capture/Allegro PCB/Pulse PDM Fluency in AI ML technologies practical applications software automation BS MS Electrical Eng related discipline equivalent industry experience Preferred Experience machine learning frameworks AWS Bedrock TensorFlow PyTorch demonstrated ability integrate AI traditional engineering workflows
