- Providing administrative oversight for the nuclear medical technology department of a hospital, ensures departmental adherence to standards developed by Nuclear Regulatory Committee.
- Ensuring renewal of Radioactive Materials Licensure and submission of amendments as approved by the Radiation Safety Committee, ensures renewal of ACR accreditations, ensures readiness for NYSDOH surveys, and prepares plans of correction as appropriate, oversees, in conjunction with RSO, personnel monitoring program, reviews, develops and implements technical policies and procedures to ensure efficiency, quality and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Manages daily operations and regulatory requirements of the nuclear medicine department.
- Performs nuclear medicine exams in an acute care setting encompassing IP, OP, and ED patients.
- Maintains extensive knowledge of department processes, supervises nuclear medicine technologists, and performs the functions of a technologist as needed.
