Job Purpose:
Supervision of camp participants throughout all daily activities.


Job Summary (Essential Functions):


  • Assists with summer camp planning and implementation.
  • Provide leadership, energy and camp spirit for campers, constantly assessing group dynamics and the needs of individual campers.
  • Able to organize kids and activities; energetically perform job duties.
  • Provide excellent customer service to families by communicating with them on a daily basis about their camper's experience.
  • Employ accident prevention as the primary goal of work place responsibility
  • Respond to all injuries, incidents, and emergencies as directed by club policy
  • Always approachable, visible and helpful to all club members
  • Demonstrate a positive concern for all campers, especially those who are not fully confident.
  • Establish, maintain and foster cooperative working relations with all campers and coworkers.
  • Arrive punctually for all scheduled shifts, meetings or activities
  • At the end of each shift, clean up all camps areas and properly store all equipment.
  • Attend all meetings and staff trainings.
  • Maintain a professional image with members, campers and employees.
  • Interact positively with members and staff.
  • Greet each parent and camper with an enthusiastic smile and a warm welcome every day.
  • Learn kid's name on the first day of camp and use first names as much as possible.
  • Make each camper feel welcomed, part of the community and special.
  • Provide a caring and nurturing environment for all campers.
  • Lead and support all campers to ensure everyone is having a good time.
  • Address conflict and/or behavior issues before the problem escalates.
  • Clean & maintain facilities and ensure proper usage of equipment.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs, as well as stand for extended periods of time. Frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, stooping, squatting.


Education and Experience:
Sufficient education and experience to satisfactorily perform the duties of this classification. A typical qualifying background would be prior supervisory and/or leadership experience working with children in a group setting.


Work Schedule and Hours:
Tuesday - Friday 8:45am - 2:45pm


Pay Rate:
This is an hourly position ranging from $ $22.00 per hour. Varies based on experience.
