Position Summary
The Business Unit Controller function is key management and support service for the corrugated plants and group initiatives.

The position provides an integral role in the business analysis of operations, business processes, us of the ERP system including maintaining cost information.

The position will report directly to the CFO, support operation management of business units, work closely with the Group Controller to ensure accurate financial reporting


Key Responsibilities

  • Product costingmaterial, labor and overhead costing analysis
  • Inventory control tracking and reporting to operations
  • Estimating system integrity for assigned business units
  • Supporting business units on budget preparations and analyzing variances
  • Conduct a detailed financial review and lead monthly financial reviews
  • Key business partner with business unit management. This includes financial analysis, project support, payback analysis and financial modeling
  • Ensure integrity of ERP system operations data and inputs in to financial reporting
  • Periodically reviewing open purchase orders and closed purchase orders to ensure correct coding and auditing receipts
  • Review and approve business unit journal entries prepared by staff accountants
  • Analyze customer profitability, mix and cost improvement tracking
  • Capital spend justification and track achievements and results
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Position Qualifications

Education:


  • Bachelor's degree in business, Accounting or related field.
  • CPA preferred.

Experience:


  • 5 + years of prior accounting or related experience
  • Ability to perform advanced mathematical calculations
  • Advanced Excel Experience
  • ERP Software experience. Amtech preferred
  • Strong accounting skills
  • Understanding of GAAP
