Description
A New Leaf's Faith House located in Glendale, Arizona, is a domestic violence / homeless shelter with 72-beds and 24-hour Emergency Shelter for women and children in crisis.
Faith House provides:
a crisis hotline, safe housing/meals, case management, domestic violence/life skills/parenting education, community resources and referrals, employment assistance/Workforce Access Point Site, financial literacy education/budget counseling and assistance with securing permanent housing.
Hourly Rate:
$20.00
Schedule:
Wednesday-Saturday 7am-5pm

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- High School or GED required.
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree, preferred.
Experience:
- Experience working with domestic violence, homeless or economically disadvantaged population required.
- Knowledge of community resources.
- Knowledge of and/or experience with trauma informed practices required.
- Bilingual verbally in Spanish, preferred.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Role model appropriate behaviors to callers/clients in the shelter, at all times, utilizing trauma informed principles and practices.
- Provide case management, crisis intervention, domestic violence education, and resources and referral services to callers on crisis calls and to clients in the shelter.
- Communicate with hotel/motel and/or transportation agencies for client placement in overflow program and convey information appropriately to internal programs.
- Be responsible for issues relating to admission and discharge, in conjunction with the programs definition and policies as relevant to program/client needs.
- Perform screenings, lethality assessments, and basic needs assessments for potential clients according to procedure. Assist with the introduction of program and facility orientation to incoming clients. Assist with client intake/exit paperwork as needed
- Codevelop 24/7 Safety/Crisis Plans with every household, depending on the safety needs and risk factors identified by the client.
- Monitor the implementation of a strengthbased service plan and progress of household towards goals.
- Assist households in obtaining community services and benefits, securing appointments with outside services and agencies as needed, including identification of funding sources and linkages to other agencies/services.
- Provide referrals and/or coordinating transportation for households to community services as relevant to client need.
- Coordinate client satisfaction surveys with individual clients on a regular basis.
Compliance/Requirements:
- Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Valid Driver's License with reliable transportation, required
- Current Auto Liability Insurance, required
- 39 Month Motor Vehicle Record, required
- Be at least 21years of age
