Overall Function


The Support Advisor specializes in client service and supporting the financial representative as they focus on building their practice and client relationships.

An AFR also ensures the continuation of an efficient, effective and organized office.

This individual is a liaison between the network office and home office as well as the financial representative and clients.

Specific responsibilities may include but are not limited to:


  • Lead/Mange practice's case notes, processing of internal/external correspondence, maintaining client digital case files (including compliance requirements with HO), CRM, filing new statements, account forms and other insurance and investment related materials.
  • Communicate with home office, NMIS and fund families to support sales cycle and manage implementation & servicing.
  • Ensure NMIS (Northwestern Mutual Investment Services,) and insurance compliance requirements are implemented and followed.
  • Provide/obtain information to and from HO & partners.
  • Prospect/Client Engagement:
  • Maintain financial representative's calendar including confirm, schedule & reschedule appointments.
  • Prepare and send pre/post meeting correspondence and facilitate return of information, statements, and NMC onboarding then distribution to support team.
  • Review eFF (obtain additional detail/statements/NMC aggregation direct from client as necessary) and FR Px request to facilitate creative of Px.
  • Assist FR in preparation for annual review meeting.
  • Develop and execute crossselling plans.
  • Support FR in efforts to contact clients, prospects, and centers of influence for appointments and referrals to generate interest practice's scope of work.
  • Contact and advise clients regarding past due payments, account fees, low balance and servicerelated issues.
  • Participate in various activities of the sales cycle.
  • Maintaining daily tickler system for account followups and service requirements
- *Role limited to non-securities related activities until fully registered_

  • Gather information for registered representative's meeting with clients/prospects (prospectuses, annual reports, Morningstar reports) and enter data into planning software.
  • Prepare account summaries for variable and securities owners.
  • Complete order tickets and new account forms based on information obtained by RR.
  • At RR's direction, initiate fund/NMIS transfers, exchanges, and redemption requests.
  • Print and distribute NMIS related forms to existing clients.
  • Prepare and process all paperwork needed for investment/advisory accounts
  • Monitor Items for Attention (IFA) and bring any action items to the RR's attention
  • Proactively prepare account service / opportunities reports to review as a team then lead efforts to schedule client meetings
  • Work with network office, NMIS and fund families to resolve client account issues
  • Provide account values and performance to clients at the direction of RR
  • Experience in administrative support or customer service, preferably in the financial services and/or insurance industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships with clients
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and maintain confidentiality
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills and ability to multitask, set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to proactively identify what needs to be accomplished and act as appropriate
  • Has interest in learning on a continuous basis
  • Ability to embrace change and work in a fastpaced environment working both independently and in a team
  • Health and Life licensed or gain licensing within 3 months of employment
  • Series 6 (or Series 7) SIE and Series 63 required within 12 months
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Pay:
$65, $80,000.00 per year
