SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES/FUNCTIONS:

• Join our team at Savor Street Foods, Inc. as an integral part of our Quality Assurance Program. You'll play a key role in ensuring the safety and quality of our products, including maintaining certifications such as SQF Food Safety, Gluten Free, Organic, and Kosher.
• Help uphold the requirements for GFSI and FSMA, conducting internal audits to ensure compliance and continuously improve our processes.
• Work closely with our product development and research teams to monitor and adjust processes and ingredients as needed.
• Participate in inspections by customers, auditors, and regulatory agencies, ensuring that our facilities meet the highest standards.
• Support our bakers and monitors in maintaining product specifications, ensuring that every item meets our quality standards.
• Conduct routine analysis of finished products, packaging checks, and breakage tests to maintain consistency and quality.
• Maintain accurate records, including QC Daily Sheets, and assist with sample preparation for microbiological and environmental testing.
• Perform equipment calibration, chemical titrations, and ATP swabbing to verify sanitation effectiveness.
• Conduct gluten and allergen testing for equipment and products as required, ensuring compliance with dietary restrictions.
• Manage raw material testing and maintain databases of nutritional labels and analysis files.
• Coordinate the retained samples program and ensure cleanliness and orderliness in the lab.
• Flexible core hours from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or Microbiology preferred, or 3+ years of experience in a food safety role. Knowledge or experience with SQF and FSMA compliance is advantageous.
• Experience in food technology is a plus.
