    POSITION SUMMARY


    To assure the smooth and efficient operation of the school so that the office's maximum positive impact on the education of children can be realized.


    QUALIFICATIONS

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Three (3) years of clerical experience.
    • Pleasant telephone and interpersonal skills.
    • Good clerical skills, including but not limited to typing, filing, and organizing.
    • Maintains confidentiality.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Performs the usual office routines and practices associated with a busy yet productive smoothly run office.
    • Receives and routes all incoming calls.
    • Maintains logs for use of district vehicles.
    • Greets visitors to campus.
    • Acts as liaison between schools and central office.
    • Disseminates material to Central Office personnel.
    • Disseminates mail to Central Office Staff.
    • Maintains/Updates Central Office rosters.
    • Orders office supplies when needed.
    • Performs any bookkeeping tasks associated with the specific position.
    • Prepares reports for the principal as shall be required.
    • Performs any assigned duties from Assistant Superintendent/Superintendent.
    • First in line to answer the telephone for incoming calls. Transfer calls or take messages.
    • Make copies and distribute materials.

    The employee is frequently required to stand, walk; sit; use hands for fine manipulation, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms using a keyboard and video display terminal.

    The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
