Responsibilities:

Order parts that meet the cost and quality standards of the automotive parts department, dealership, and vehicle manufacturers
Keep track of the dealership's inventory control platform and record the movement and sale of auto parts
Communicate and negotiate with vendors to purchase parts at price points that facilitate a favorable ROI
Hire and supervise the automotive parts department employees
Manage the parts inventory levels closely for auto repair and sales needs without delay based on projected demand and matching cost targets
Source and buy parts for inventory cars
Track cores
Track returns

Qualifications:

Mandatory product knowledge, customer service skills, and organizational skills required to manage inventory properly
Experience managing a staff is desired
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
12 years of related experience in auto sales needed

Who is Grote Automotive? Fred Grote has been in the car business for over 25 years. He opened his 1st store in Fort Wayne, IN in 2008. Growing from 25 cars a month to 200 he opened a 2nd store in Warsaw, IN. After Great success there his 3rd store came to Rockford, IL. The 4th and 5th stores have just arrived in IN in 2022 as well. We plan to open 1 more in 2024. We opened here in Rockford in December 2020 and have been growing FAST. We specialize in solving transportation problems that most dealerships can't.
