    Job Description***Position is a part-time position, on average 21 hours per workweek***Our Mission:

We provide educational and work skill trainings, outpatient services and available housing assistance, so individuals can step back into real life with a real future.

    Hourly Rate Range: $

    MAJOR FUNCTIONS:

    The Client Benefit Assistant maintains a working relationship with the Department of Social Services/Medicaid Office/Expedited and Marketplace to ensure Medicaid Managed Care guidelines. This position reports directly to the Entitlements Director.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Conduct interviews on new admit for HRA/SSI/SSD/DSS
    • Process applications and recertifications for potential consumers through the Local Department of Social Services or the NY State Exchange/Marketplace
    • Navigate eMedNY (Epaces) / STARS / AWARDS / Manage Care portal systems
    • Daily Data Entry of Medicaid/Managed Care/Medicare/Private Insurance/MAT in AWARDS and E-Lab
    • Assist consumers with the selection of a Managed Care and NY State Market Place
    • Communicate with consumers regarding insurance coverage, restrictions, and disenrollment (Medicaid/Managed Care, and Medicare)
    • Process restrictions through the Managed Care System (MCS)
    • Prepare weekly status of consumers' Medicaid/Managed Care/Medicare/Private Insurance status
    • Review weekly consumers' Medicaid Managed Care coverage and dropped coverage
    • Prepare biweekly Medicaid Manage Care Reports to reflect current coverage
    • Performs related or similar duties assigned by Director

    REQUIREMENTS:

    1. High School Diploma/GED Equivalency required, Associate degree highly preferred.
    2. Proficiency in Awards and Microsoft Software Package. such as Excel, Word, and Outlook required.
    3. Experience with Medicaid and Managed Care and in Human Service Field highly desired.
    4. Background with HRA benefits, Recertifications, Medicaid, managed care plans, highly desired.
    5. Demonstrated effective communication, proficient with Excel, computer skills, organization and multitasking skills
