Columbia Training for Automotive Mechatronics with a Focus on Passenger Cars 2024 (m/f/d)


As an automotive mechatronics technician with a focus on passenger car technology (m/f/d), you will ensure that our customers' vehicles are in perfect technical condition.

With the exciting mix of electrical, vehicle, and system technologies, you will never be bored. Using modern computer techniques, you will diagnose errors or assemble various components with the appropriate tools.

In the first year of training, you will learn basic training content, which will be built upon in the second year.

From the middle of the second year of training, you will begin to learn more in-depth content related to the passenger car focus.

What will you learn?

Analysis of electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems

Investigation and diagnosis of errors and malfunctions (e.g. reading error memory, checking vehicle safety)

Maintenance and repair of passenger cars (e.g. engine management components)

Checking component functions during and after repair

Installation of special equipment, accessories, and additional systems (e.g. trailer hitches, parking heaters, navigation systems)

Application of modern workshop information and communication systems (e.g. reprogramming control units)
