- Assist in the management of the life cycle of existing and new implants and instruments or biological products as well as product related literature.
- Leads all management of several larger product lines.
- Perform market and competitive product analysis.
- Provide field education and assist with follow up on regulatory issues
- Support the selling activities through field training, field visits and case coverage, etc.
- Develop working relations with leading orthopedic surgeons and staff to analyze their needs and maintain a dialog for current information while abiding by legal guidelines.
- Assist with the development of product design teams including the identification of surgeons, the coordination of input, working with legal to establish the appropriate contracts and collaboration with other departments while abiding by the Exactech Code of Ethics and all applicable legal guidelines.
- Lead the planning and forecasting of product sample inventory.
- Serve on project teams to support new product development.
- Develop annual marketing plans and oversee implementation and other tactical related activities.
- Assume leadership role in developing and recommending annual pricing strategies.
- Lead individual module development and presentation of product training programs.
- Provide marketing expertise to the multi-skill teams including assuming leadership responsibilities as required.
- Contribute ideas and offer solutions to critical team & departmental issues.
- Leads the communication of product related sales support information to field sales force in the form of Product Updates and other documents.
- Provide technical expertise to agents, reps, and surgeons to improve patient outcomes.
- Other miscellaneous projects as assigned by the leader of the business unit.
- Know and apply the Quality System and any appropriate Federal and International standards.
- Assist and support other employees, teams, and sales personnel as necessary.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution required; Master's Degree preferred
- 5 years of experience in marketing/product management in the orthopedic joint reconstruction field (ideally related to his/her product line).
- Organizational & interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of windows-based office productivity tools including word processor and spreadsheet.
- Ability to meet the medical requirements to gain entry into individual hospitals and hospital systems as needed to observe surgical procedures.
- Ability to travel 30-40% of job.
