Quality Technician**We are searching for a highly motivated Quality Technician with in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes to join our ISO 9001 certified team. Your passion for quality processes and practices, training and continuous improvements will drive success in this position.

The Location:
Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. This position is based in Torrance, California.
Responsibilities:
As
Quality Technician**, you will:
- Conduct incoming and outgoing final QC inspections
- Verify piece parts for visual/cosmetic, mechanical dimensional as per applicable Outline Drawings
- Following proven quality practices and principles with emphasis on internal audits
- Cross reference Antcom's PO to accurately match supplier's Packing Slips and Certificates of Conformance
- Assist with implementation of environmental standard ISO 1400
- Verify correct component placement, value, and rating of PWB assemblies
- Verify proper cleaning of assemblies and identify broken or missing components
- Transfer inspected piece parts and subassemblies to Inventory department
- Perform inprocess inspections of production and periodic walk through audits
- Issue and follow up completion of MRR/SCAR to supplier for any declared rejected lots
- Maintain and update inspection records in the data base
- Develop and implement best practices and methods as part of continuous improvements
- Conduct periodic renewal training for production staff on FOD, ESD, J-STD00
- Document discrepancies and work with other technical personnel toward resolutions
- Select common inspection and measuring tools that will become the standard for ensuring piece parts are accurately and thoroughly inspected
- Understand and implement proven quality practices and principles through documentation, assessment and corrective action
- Ensure list of calibration equipment is maintained and up to date
Qualifications:
Must-Have:
- High school diploma or equivalent; twoyear technical degree preferred
- 1 2 year experience as QC/QA inspector in any ISO/AS certified company
- Technical and analytical skills to perform root cause analysis, first article inspection, incoming/outgoing inspection, internal/process audits
- Knowledge in ESD (Electro-Static Discharge) ANSI/ESD-S20.20, FOD (Foreign Object Debris/Damage), SDS (Safety Data Sheet), Attribute Sampling Plan, and SPC (Statistical Process Control)
- Basic computer skills for word processing, database management and spreadsheets for charts and graphs
- Applicants for select positions that require access to information controlled by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations ("ITAR") or the Export Administration Regulations ("EAR") must be US Persons per ITAR and EAR i.e., a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or admitted to the U.S. as an asylee or refugee), or be otherwise eligible to obtain required authorization from the U.S. Government to access controlled information

- Ability to train large groups of manufacturing personnel related to skills development, improved processes, procedures, work instructions, inspection criteria and regulatory requirements
- Ability to interpret specifications, blueprints and manufacturing outlines and to be able to use inspection and measuring tools required particularly CMM equipment to inspect/measure parts to be able meet customer's requirements
- Strong planning and organization skills
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Comprehensive knowledge of industry specific ISO/AS QA/QC programs
Nice-to-Have:
- Knowledge on Statutory and Regulatory requirements such as ITAR, Conflict Minerals, Counterfeit Avoidance, REACH, RoHS, FAA TSO, CE, OSHA, DFARS, etc.
- Familiar with various standards such as MIL-PRF85582, MIL-PRF85285, MIL-DTL5541, MIL-A8265, JSTD001, IPC-A610, ASTM B221, AS9102, etc.
