Description
Instrumentation Specialist
Duties to include but not limited to:
- Highly experienced with all aspects of instrumentation including selection of instruments from specifications, creating datasheets, selecting all accessories needed for installation, calibration, installing, testing & documenting end results on proper documentation.
- Experience with Instrument Specifications and Template Data Sheet Creation & Development
- Experience with Field Instrument Installation Requirements
- Experience with P&ID's
- Function as instrumentation specialist on selected projects as assigned
- Knowledge of instrumentation, including temperature, pressure, flow, and analytical instrumentation.
- Interpret varied instrumentation and engineering diagrams, specifications, and schematics.
- Checks and back checks submittals, any relevant documents, testing results and applicable drawings or specifications.
- Checks vendor supplied drawings and/or relevant information provided by others
- Performs calibration & documentation of purchased equipment prior to commissioning and startup support.
- Lead and prepare instrumentation engineering/design deliverables, including Instrument Index, Instrument Data Sheets, Instrument Installation Details, Instrument Location Plans, reviewing Wiring Diagrams, and Loop Diagrams.
- Review specifications, request vendor quotes & make technical recommendations and manage the overall selection of instruments & accessories to be used per specifications & best value practices.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in relative Instrumentation experience
- Excellent planning, organization, and followthrough skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive and creative problemsolving skills and ability to evaluate options, analyze complex problems, and present possible solutions in a simple, easily understood manner
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment
- Detail oriented
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
- Excellent customer service skills
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive, professional attitude
- Technically savvy, comfortable navigating Microsoft office programs
- Logically minded, detail oriented
- Experience with control panel electrical wiring a plus
- IT networking experience a plus
- Knowledge of networks and basic electronic troubleshooting skills are a plus
- Travel requirements of up to 20%

From $28.00 per hour
