- Controller will develop and manage the organization's financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Bi-weekly payroll journal entries
- Payroll processing
- Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations
- Management of the general labor, accounts payable, billing and accounts receivable in accordance with GAAP
- Controller oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses
- Preparation of monthly financial statements for CFO review
- Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget and provide timely, accurate financial information to key stakeholders
- Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts
- Track and analyze budget variances, providing explanations and recommendations as needed
- Assist in long-term financial planning and strategic decision-making by Controller
- Conduct financial analyses to support decision-making processes
- Ensure compliance with healthcare financial regulations, accounting principles, and industry standards
- Work closely with auditors, both internal and external, to facilitate financial audits and reviews
- Coordination of the preparation of required tax returns
- Compliance with the local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance
- 7+ years of experience in an accounting or financial management role
- Accounting designation (CPA or CMA) preferred, or an equivalent combination of related experience and education
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to collaborate, manage and take direction in support of company's goals
