    Description

    Our client is a national behavioral health services provider. They are seeking an experienced Healthcare Controller that can effectively oversee financial activities, manage budgets, ensure compliance with federal regulations and provide strategic financial guidance to support the overall goals of the organization. This is a hybrid position where 3 days per week must be in the office.

    Compensation: $150,000

    Responsibilities:

    • Controller will develop and manage the organization's financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
    • Bi-weekly payroll journal entries
    • Payroll processing
    • Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations
    • Management of the general labor, accounts payable, billing and accounts receivable in accordance with GAAP
    • Controller oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses
    • Preparation of monthly financial statements for CFO review
    • Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget and provide timely, accurate financial information to key stakeholders
    • Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts
    • Track and analyze budget variances, providing explanations and recommendations as needed
    • Assist in long-term financial planning and strategic decision-making by Controller
    • Conduct financial analyses to support decision-making processes
    • Ensure compliance with healthcare financial regulations, accounting principles, and industry standards
    • Work closely with auditors, both internal and external, to facilitate financial audits and reviews
    • Coordination of the preparation of required tax returns
    • Compliance with the local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance
    • 7+ years of experience in an accounting or financial management role
    • Accounting designation (CPA or CMA) preferred, or an equivalent combination of related experience and education
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to collaborate, manage and take direction in support of company's goals
    • Impeccable analytical and organizational skills
