Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead teacher in implementing ageappropriate lesson plans and activities
• Provide support and guidance to students in their learning and development
• Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies
• Collaborate with the lead teacher to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Help prepare materials and resources for lessons and activities
• Supervise students during recess, lunchtime, and other noninstructional periods
• Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and behavior

Experience:

• 35 hours of DCF Training/ Staff credential
• CPR and First Aid Certified
• Pass background screening
• Experience working with children, preferably in a childcare or educational setting
• Ability to assist in curriculum development and implementation
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work collaboratively with lead teacher
