Responsibilities:
Assists with the planning, preparation and implementation of activities and projects for groups of elementary school-age children enrolled in a Camp Fairfax.
Provides leadership and ensures the safety of the children enrolled in the center. Part-Time, non-merit positions work up to 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday during seasonal camps.Minimum Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age and have any combination of education, experience and training equivalent to graduation from high school or G.E.D.
issued by a state department of education.Preferred Qualifications:
Major course work in early childhood or elementary education, nursing, recreation or a related field. Experience working with groups of children. Bilingual ability.
Necessary Special Requirements:
Appointees to these positions will be required to complete a criminal background check, a check of the Child Protective Services Registry, and a driving record check (if applicable to the position), to the satisfaction of the employer.
