Partner University: HS Bremen

Duration of Study: 9 semesters

Occupational Training: Construction Mechanic in the field of Shipbuilding

With full force, you will start with us on August 1st in our own training workshop with all the new apprentices and students.

In the first few weeks, you will get to know the shipyard and the A&R family. For the first year (1st and 2nd semester), you will stay at the shipyard and your initial tasks will include basic training in metalworking, cutting, welding, and shaping. Then you will move on to production, where you will work alongside skilled workers and experience the fascination of shipbuilding. For advanced courses and exam preparation, you will return to the training workshop. After the first year, you will take the final exam 1. Then you will move on to the 3rd - 6th semester at HS Bremen. Our older students will have prepared you for this, so you can start with ease.

During the semester breaks, you will be at the shipyard, observing our shipbuilders and designers, and we will prepare you for the final exam 2.
