General Description:

Flexible, Full-Time, and Part-Time Opportunities Available: Our Direct Care and Family Care Attendants are members of a positive and professional team, which maintains the mission and values of Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

WEIGHT

DESCRIPTION

Provide short-term care and supervision consistent with the health needs of the client throughout the week.

30%

Provide cleaning tasks to include dusting, cleaning floors, bathrooms, windows.

30%

Provide assistance for an individual to remain in their home and participate in community activities.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

The requirements listed below are representative of the abilities required:

Must show proof of freedom from TB before client contact.
Must have current certification in First Aid and CPR.
Current or ability to obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Clear criminal background and motor vehicle screening.
Clear the Department of Economic Security, Department of Aging and Adult Services Central Registry Background Check.
If driving is one of the essential duties & responsibilities, maintain a valid AZ driver's license, proof of auto insurance, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation throughout the duration of employment.

Education and Experience:

Six months experience working with individuals with disabilities or older adults preferred.
Ability to solve problems and make decisions.
Knowledge of community streets and routes.
