General Description:


Flexible, Full-Time, and Part-Time Opportunities Available: Our Direct Care and Family Care Attendants are members of a positive and professional team, which maintains the mission and values of Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

WEIGHT

DESCRIPTION

  • 40%
Provide short-term care and supervision consistent with the health needs of the client throughout the week.

30%

Provide cleaning tasks to include dusting, cleaning floors, bathrooms, windows.

30%

Provide assistance for an individual to remain in their home and participate in community activities.


Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

The requirements listed below are representative of the abilities required:


  • Must show proof of freedom from TB before client contact.
  • Must have current certification in First Aid and CPR.
  • Current or ability to obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Clear criminal background and motor vehicle screening.
  • Clear the Department of Economic Security, Department of Aging and Adult Services Central Registry Background Check.
  • If driving is one of the essential duties & responsibilities, maintain a valid AZ driver's license, proof of auto insurance, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation throughout the duration of employment.

Education and Experience:


  • Six months experience working with individuals with disabilities or older adults preferred.
  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions.
  • Knowledge of community streets and routes.
