At Banner, we are building our Culinary and Nutrition Services team with high performing, close knit and diverse group of individuals who take pride in providing our patients and staff with spectacular service. As a part of our Culinary team as a Food Service Worker you will be responsible for providing service and assistance to patients staff and other customers in accordance with established dietary retail cafe policies procedures. Some additional duties include the cleaning kitchen dining room dishwashing throughout day cross trained many areas kitchen barista cashier tray line dishwashing back house front house duties ensuring keep up process flow assist food prep unbox foods supplies lifting carrying boxes storage shelves restocked.
Responsibilities
- Sets up work station prepares all assigned foods nourishments correct quantities following established procedures portion control food quality standards assures continually meets standards.
- Cleans sanitizes dishes flatware trays cups glasses cooking utensils cleans sanitizes designated equipment kitchen areas disposing waste materials monitors dish machine temperature.
- Maintains par levels foods supplies assigned areas orders restocks items defined routines rotates stocks checks expiration dates.
Checks records food equipment temperatures according defined procedures reports discrepancies supervisor may deliver meals nourishments late trays tube feedings units return excess nourishments requested assists catering special event service handles transactions cash register if applicable or cafe may interact other food department personnel hospital staff patients families follows routine regular supervision works quickly correctly provides good customer service maintains sanitation standards follows instructions guidelines use cleaning chemicals works physical contact them
