    Description

    Essential Functions

    • Works closely with the Buyers and Merchants to implement and maintain buy strategies and stocking programs.
    • Research suppliers to determine which ones fit the companies pricing and quality objectives.
    • Manage physical and digital purchasing records.
    • Follow strict purchasing policies and procedures.
    • Supports Sales Consultants, Sales Administrators and Project Coordinators with information and product availability requests through reallocations, confirmations, and ticket resolution.
    • Responsible for providing timely and accurate information to cross functional and cross concept partners.
    • Trace/expedite of purchase orders.
    • Ensures pricing, promotions and product availability is up-to-date and communicated in a timely manner.
    • Participates in vendor product knowledge meetings in store locations or vendor facility to become brand expert.
    • Support purchasing team as needed.
    • Audits and maintains pricing and catalog files.
    • Performs other duties and tasks as required and assigned.

    Experience

    • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
    • Two or four-year degree preferred.
    • Inventory management or purchasing experience preferred.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel
    • Minimum of two years ERP experience required; Microsoft Great Plains preferred
    • Appliance and/or plumbing knowledge is a plus.

    Supervisory Responsibility
    This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

    Work Environment
    This role is in an office environment and requires long hours of sitting at a desk. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, computer programs, smartphones, and photocopiers.

    Physical Demands

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    This role requires the ability to stand and sit for long hours using a computer keyboard and mouse.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    Team member must be available during regular office hours and must work a minimum of 30 hours each week to maintain full-time status.
