Position Summary:
Assists counselors in individual and group counseling settings to provide clients with optimal behavioral health solutions. Documents client interactions and observations and actively participates in clinical team meetings.

Provides educational and support resources to clients and stakeholders and performs client support tasks such as transportation and conflict resolution as needed.

Required Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associates Degree in Chemical Dependency, Mental Health, or a closely related field of study preferred.
  • 6 months of experience in behavioral health / substance abuse experience, preferably with Native American populations.
  • Current and continuing BLS training and certifications.
  • State of Arizona driver's license with no significant violations during the last 5 years.
  • Current state of Arizona Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Clearance card required.
  • Demonstrates ability to relate to diverse cultures and specifically the Gila River Community or other Native American cultures and community health services.
