We are currently seeking a


Director of the Office for Family, Education, and Social Affairs
Family, education, and upbringing are central challenges in current societal and local politics. This position is available due to the current office holder being elected as mayor of a municipality.

Therefore, we are looking for a leader who will actively shape and advance this societal task together with the city council and administrative management.

By combining childcare and school administration, we are creating the organizational conditions for necessary transparency towards families and for a holistic approach to tasks.

In addition to managing the office and representing it in internal and, if necessary, political decision-making bodies or to the public, the main responsibilities include:

  • Professional and content-related responsibility for the areas of family, education, and social affairs
  • Preparation of fundamental strategic decisions for the development of family support and childcare services
  • Further development of childcare services in schools in preparation for the legal entitlement to allday care in primary schools
  • Expansion of allday schools
  • Work with seniors
