ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS:
Non rotating 40 hour work week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Must be available to work additional hours as needed.

Responsibilities

Performs chemical and bacteriological analysis of water, wastewater and storm water samples according to standard methods and/or USEPA methods; Leads three Laboratory Technician II employees; Provides customer service, receives samples and performs documentation of results, data reduction, data verification and data reporting in accordance with NELAP requirements; Upgrades, modifies, troubleshoots, repairs and performs maintenance on existing laboratory equipment including new laboratory equipment and installation of new equipment; Perform ongoing quality assurance/quality control procedures as per NELAP requirements, including proficiency testing; In the absence of a technical director, this position will also serve as a deputy technical director in accordance with NELAP requirements; This position is responsible for assuring qualified data is generated from lab technicians by monitoring quality control, corroborating the analysis performed and signing of demonstrations of capability; May be asked to perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Position requires an Associates Degree minimum of two (2) years of experience. A combination of education and pertinent experience may be considered. A valid driver's license is required.

Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire.
