    We are looking for a Senior Data Architect to join our team. DataHouse specializes in delivering advanced data architecture solutions to our public sector clients. Through our partnership with AWS, we aim to design and implement scalable, secure, and innovative data solutions that drive efficiency, insight, and value across enterprise data landscapes. The ideal candidate will lead our efforts in leveraging AWS technologies to transform these landscapes, demonstrating deep expertise in AWS-based data solutions, a strong background in data architecture, and a proven track record with public sector or government clients.


    *This position can be based from a home office in the US (west coast preferred), or at our beautiful headquarters in Honolulu, Hawaii.

    *Business travel might be requested.


    Specific duties

    • Design and implement data solutions that meet the unique needs of public sector clients, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and security standards.
    • Lead data migration projects to AWS, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.
    • Develop and maintain scalable, secure cloud architectures, employing AWS best practices and the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
    • Engage with public sector clients to understand their data architecture needs, providing expert consultation and strategic recommendations.
    • Manage the full lifecycle of data architecture projects, from conception through deployment and optimization.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data services into CI/CD pipelines for agile development and deployment.
    • Ensure data governance, quality, and security measures are in place, aligning with compliance requirements such as FISMA, FedRAMP, and HIPAA.
    • Stay abreast of the latest AWS features and technologies, advocating for the adoption of innovative solutions that can benefit our clients.

    Qualifications

    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty, or AWS Certified Big Data - Specialty.
    • 8+ years of experience in data architecture, with a proven track record in designing and implementing AWS-based data solutions.
    • Direct experience working with public sector or government clients, including familiarity with government compliance and security standards.
    • Expertise in AWS data services (e.g., Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift, Amazon RDS) and cloud architecture principles.
    • Strong foundation in data migration strategies, data governance, and data security.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
    • Ability to obtain a security clearance if required for specific projects.
