The State Theater Mainz GmbH is currently seeking Dressers for the evening shift (m/f/d) for the costume department on a part-time basis.

The State Theater Mainz is a multi-disciplinary house, consisting of opera, drama, and contemporary dance. All three departments also produce productions for the children and youth theater, justmainz. The State Theater Mainz has four venues, which are used by all three departments in a wide repertoire. In total, about thirty premieres are produced per season.


Your future tasks:

  • Providing, maintaining, repairing, and sorting costumes for performers from all three departments in four venues
  • Assisting with costume changes before and during performances

What you should bring:

  • Willingness to work flexible evening shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Strong interest in costumes
  • Basic sewing skills for minor repairs
  • Good communication skills and respectful interaction
  • High commitment, reliability, and careful work
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Knowledge of English
