    FunctionsThe Engineer II will work closely with team members to:

    Review documents, piping and HVAC diagrams, mechanical systems, equipment design and functions and performance analysesCoordinate with project stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables are submitted in accordance with the Contract requirements.

    Production of detailed plans of action and deficiency reports to support the project objectives and schedules.
    Assist with construction planning support activities.
    Assist in the integration of the design in Production and work closely with shipyard personnel.
    Perform other duties as assigned.
    Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Reporting RelationshipThis position will report to Mechanical Engineering Department ManagerQualificationsEducation/Experience:

    Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Marine EngineeringJob RequirementsRequiredThe qualified candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience:Have 6-15 years of experience in either commercial marine or government shipbuilding programs.

    Have good analytical skills.
    Be capable of working with minimum supervision to accomplish assigned tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
    Ability to interpret contract requirements and specifications. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD. Capable of learning department-specific software programs to assist in various analyses.


    Citizenship:
    U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident Card required.
