Description
Our Home Health agency is looking to hire an receptionist / intake coordinator /. Must be fluent in Spanish and English, phone skills, multi-tasking, customer service. Position is full time; office is in Upland CA Previous front office and charting experience will be considered.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet people as they enter the Agency, answer calls, answer general information questions, screen visitors, and deliver messages.
  • Type memos, correspondence, agendas, and reports, as required.
  • Assist with accounting functions, as assigned, e.g., ledger entering, account processing, etc.
  • Make appointments and inform staff members of meetings.
  • Data entry. Processing incoming referrals and admissions, entering the information into system and checking the eligibility of the patient
  • Coordinating with nurses, therapists and home aides for new admissions and scheduling necessary patient visits
  • Maintain files, for the Agency.
  • Maintaining and tracking accurate, updated records of patients
  • Open and sort mail.
  • Photocopying, as required.
  • Perform other duties, as required.

JOB CONDITIONS
Position is stressful in terms of meeting deadlines.

It is primarily a desk job, which essentially involves sitting, standing, stooping, and walking, as well as an inordinate amount of telephone communication.

It requires mínimal lifting of office records and printouts. The ability to read 12 point, and larger, type, is required.


One must be able to adequately hear, on the telephone, with no more than an amplifier and be able to communicate, both, verbally, and in writing, in English.


EQUIPMENT OPERATION
The job requires the ability to utilize a PC, calculator, multi-line telephone, and other related office equipment.


COMPANY INFORMATION

  • Has access to all patient medical and financial records, which may be discussed with all management staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a High school education.
  • Must have a minimum of six months office experience.
  • Must possess typing and other clerical skills.
  • Teamwork spirits
  • Enthusiastic to help people and understanding the needs of patients
  • Experience with office computer software and home agency system
  • Must have a criminal background check

Pay:
$ $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends
