Overview:


The NJPAC House Painter is responsible for the hands-on painting of all areas of the NJPAC campus, including repairs, prep, spackling, etc., interior and exterior.

The painter will also refinish and stain/shellac wood work.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Painting of walls, doors, floors, equipment, furnishings, and any other items as assigned.
  • Repair and staining of wood work such as doors, wall finishing, display racks, etc.
  • Repairing, patching and painting of sheetrock.
  • Conduct all painting related repairs, maintenance, and projects as assigned.
  • Keep adequate inventory of all paint, stains, and supplies.

Qualifications and Special Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 23 years' experience painting and staining.
  • Should have computer skills including Word, Excel & Google Applications.
  • Able to lift and carry heavy objects from 50 to 100 pounds. Must have knowledge of the safest methods to be used in performing heavy manual labor.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relations with those contacted in the course of work.
  • Ability to understand and follow, quickly and accurately, oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to perform manual and custodial tasks over extended periods of time, often under deadlines.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including early mornings and weekends as necessary.

Pay:
$ $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
