The Winthrop Yacht Club, located in Winthrop, MA, is one of the oldest and largest continually operating yacht clubs on Boston Harbor and is dedicated to providing a safe and enjoyable boating and social experience for our members, their families and our invited guests.
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team.

As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our members.

If you have a passion for mixology, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and have excellent interpersonal skills, we would love to hear from you.

2 shifts per week to start; PM's 5:00pm to 1:00am, 1 mid-week and 1 weekend shift. Catering/Function shifts are available as well More shifts will open up too.

Earn $30.00+ per hour with Tips.

Responsibilities:

Greet customers and take their drink & food orders promptly and accurately
Prepare and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages according to recipes and customer preferences
Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring all supplies are stocked
Engage with members in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations and answering any questions they may have
Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system efficiently
Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders
Assist with catering events as needed

Qualifications:

2+ years Previous experience as a Bartender or in a similar role required:

Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a positive and welcoming environment
Knowledge of basic math for handling cash transactions and calculating tips
Familiarity with different types of alcoholic beverages
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work well under pressure in a fastpaced environment
Basic knowledge of food service procedures
Understanding of food safety regulations and practices
Proficiency in operating POS systems
