Job Summary
The Team Member Relations Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting Shake Shack's People Resources function and is responsible for promoting a positive work environment by managing employee relations matters, resolving conflicts and fostering effective communication between employees and management.
People Resources Business partner, this role serves as a liaison between employees and the HR team, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures and employment laws.
Job Responsibilities and DutiesEmployee Relations (ER):
Serves as a key point of contact for employee relations issues, complaints and concerns and handles all in a fair, consistent and confidential manner.
Conducts thorough investigations into workplace concerns, allegations of misconduct or policy violations, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational requirements.
Demonstrated ability to handle high volume of employee relations cases with the ability to prioritize based on level of severity and risk.
Maintains accurate records and documentation related to employee relations activities, investigations and outcomes.Conflict Resolution:
Mediates conflicts and disputes between employees and managers, promoting constructive dialogue and problem-solving.
Facilitates discussions to resolve conflicts, ensuring mutual understanding and agreement among parties involved.
Develops strategies and initiatives to prevent or mitigate workplace conflicts and promotes a culture of respect and cooperation.
Management Guidance:
Provides sound guidance to managers on HR policies, procedures and best practices for consistent conflict resolution.
Administrative Support:
Supports team in managing the background check process for new hires.
Manages the E-Verify process for all new hires.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
2-4 years related experience in Employee Relations
Demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with employees at all levels of the organization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Commitment to upholding ethical standards and promoting a culture of fairness, respect and inclusion.
Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations and best practices.
Excellent communication, mediation and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Proficiency in HRIS (Workday preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Pay Range - $69, $88,265.00
