Selling floor coverings, advising customers, or handling complaints: The daily work of retail merchants is quite diverse. For example, you advise customers and take care of product presentation. To ensure that the shelves are not empty, you regularly restock them. Cashiering, picking, and product distribution are also part of your responsibilities.

But your workday is not only in the sales area, but also in the office. You schedule products in a timely manner and arrange delivery dates. You are also involved in the delivery process and conduct quality control.

How does the training work?

The training to become a retail merchant is dual - you alternate between your training store and vocational school. Subjects such as German, math, and accounting are on the curriculum.
