About the job

Essential Functions

  • Ensures that any required consent forms are signed prior to examination.
  • Actively participates in the quality assurance monitoring and recording efforts of the department.
  • Assisting back office including patient flow in and out of rooms.
  • Maintains communication with the front desk to ensure patient flow.
  • Compliance with all state and federal radiation safety requirements.
  • Performs radiographic procedures as prescribed by a physician.
  • Determines proper technique through the selection of voltage, current, and exposure time.
  • Positions patients for the proper view of the affected area.
  • Instruct patients for the proper physiological requirements for the procedure.
  • Receives, organizes, scans, faxes, and encounters documents into EMR.
  • Maintains technique charts in rooms in compliance with state law.
  • Obtains vital signs, performs assessments, and rooms patients.
  • Must be able to closely follow physician instructions, prepare radiography equipment, position patients, and obtain optimal images for diagnosis.
  • Must be able to communicate calmly, compassionately, and professionally with all distinct types of patients including the elderly, ailing, and handicapped.
  • Provides preventive maintenance to equipment and monitors its operation.
  • Documents patient communication and clinical treatments accurately and appropriately within the EMR.
  • Chart patient medications and completes Xray requests for billing.
  • Discuss radiologic examination results with the departmental supervisor or professional personnel.

EXPERIENCE

  • One to two years of experience in a clinical setting as a Medical Assistant.
  • One to two years of experience as an Xray technician.
  • Proficient computer skills and experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

Pay:
$ $38.07 per hour
