Overview
WEEKEND SHIFT FRIDAY, SATURDAY, SUNDAY - 12 HOUR SHIFT - 5:00 A.M. TO 5:30 P.M.)
INSURANCE AVAILABLE ON 61ST DAY.
This position is responsible for assembly of small valves, larges valves, or hydrants.
This includes but is not limited to assembly of parts, subassemblies and components, testing, loading/ unloading, and palletizing finished product.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities of the successful candidate include but are not limited too:
*Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
*Positions parts and components by using work instructions.
*Verifies specifications by testing product and visually inspecting quality.
*Assembles products using hand tools and other equipment.
*Resolves verifiable assembly problems to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources if needed.
*Palletizes and gets product ready for shipment, once complete.
*Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
*Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
*Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
*Contributes to team effort by accomplishing production requirements as needed.
Qualifications
Qualifications include but are not limited too:
*Lifting/carrying of less than 50 pounds.
*Frequent bending, pushing, pulling, reaching and twisting up to 90 times per hour.
*Standing greater than 6 hours per day.
*Ability to move
neck forward/back and turn right/left, kneel, squat, and climb using arms and legs.
*Repetitive use of both hands and fingers to grasp, exert force, wear gloves, write and utilize tools.
*Frequent work in extreme temperature conditions including but not limited to working on slippery, uneven, unstable surfaces in high humidity.
*Ability to work with solvents and chemicals, operate a crane, truck, forklift and other moving vehicles.
*Manufacturing experience and working around machinery considered.
*PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) including but not limited to earplugs, safety glasses, metatarsal and guarded boots are required.
